Empowering You to Change People's Lives

The PBS Practitioner Place was started by Rebecca Kim, our Director. She started in the disability field in 2009 and has enjoyed a varied career exploring different roles until discovering Positive Behaviour Support by chance.

Her previous roles have included working as a Disability Support Worker, Team Leader, Rosterer, Care Coordinator, and more over the years. She has a passion for helping others and has also held advocacy and human rights roles with Amnesty International and the United Nations Association.

Since becoming a PBS Practitioner, Rebecca has continued on over years to become a Senior PBS Practitioner and then Clinical Lead for a non-profit organisation. She has been lucky enough to hire, train, and supervise a stable team of PBS Practitioners who then have gone on themselves to become successful and reflective supervisors. This focus then turned outwards and Rebecca started to provide external supervision, first to individuals and then to small and large groups, often providing training for those starting out as practitioners or those wanting to deepen their practice.

When she's not working, Rebecca is a mum of 2 active daughters, an amateur chef, and a reading enthusiast.

Rebecca is passionate about the PBS field and continues to work towards improving the work of its PBS Practitioners one session at a time. She hopes that you'll find supervision with us useful and meaningful, allowing you to come away from sessions feeling like you understand what to do and also why you continue to do it.
